International Conference on Paleomagnetism and Rock Magnetism (Kazan, Russia, 2-7 October, 2017)

Dear colleagues!

 

You are cordially invited to attend the International Conference on Paleomagnetism and Rock Magnetism, which will take place 2th-7th October 2017 in Kazan (Russia) and will be hosted by the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan (Volga-Region) Federal University (KFU).

 

The official languages of the conference are English and Russian (all abstracts and presentation slides/ posters will be in English).

 

Abstract submission deadline is August 20, 2017. Please submit together with your abstract a filled registration form (attached). Notification of acceptance and final program will be sent to all participants no later than September 11, 2017.

 

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer as the edited and peer-reviewed Volume entitled “Recent Advances in Rock Magnetism, Environmental Magnetism and Paleomagnetism”. Each article of this Volume will be provided with an individual DOI and will be indexed in Scopus / Web of Science. Article submission deadline for this Springer Volume is October 15, 2017.

 

A special course (school) for students and young scientists entitled “Actual practical applications of petromagnetic and paleomagnetic data” is being organized prior to the Conference: it will be held on 2-3 October 2017The course is open to all and will be presented in form of invited lectures in English given by a number of featured international speakers including Karl Fabian (NGU, Norway), Mioara Mandea (CNES, France), Eduard Petrovsky (IG ASCRCzech Republic), Simo Spassov (RMI, Belgium), Vladimir Pavlov (IEP RAS, Moscow), Danis Nurgaliev (KFU, Kazan) and Valera Shcherbakov (Borok).
